Town Pool on Steroids

Ruth and I went to Sedrun's town pool last week, what a surprise. There were co-ed changing rooms (but separate bathrooms) and a fun park-like indoor pool complete with fake palm trees, a plunging waterfall, and a great view of the snow covered mountains. Powerful, jets circulated water around in a oval-coarse to create a flowing river like experience. The current tossed you, pulled you under, push you against the other swimmers, not the kind of thing I expected after a long day of skiing. To exit the current you even needed to swim into an eddy. I thought I was great way to get kids used to swimming in a real current. At 9 Francs per person, it complied with the Swiss Rule that nothing is for free, but we felt it was well worth it.
PS you had to fork over another 21 Francs to go into the 'Wellness Center.' After a sunny warm day, great trails, some local cheese, and whipping in the 'Current, ' I was well enough.
