Brrr? The inside of this Disentis Monastery Chapel was about 1 degree centigrade and rather uninviting despite its gelded appearance (See, no one was inside!). I understand the Monastery's numbers are declining. Could it be a case of being 'House Poor'? It kind of reminds me of some Americans who built huge houses (Mc Mansions) only to find the large space uninviting and difficult to keep heated. I am glad you don't see these extravagant Chapels on every corner like the McMansions. . .. Wait . . Check out that steeple over there! :)
