We've been to this small village near Biel once before. The charm of these villages along the lake between Biel and Neuchatel includes hills adjacent to the lake surrounded by vineyards, small villages with cobbled winding streets lined with old buildings. Many of the buildings have rooms where you can taste the local wines. You can see the pride the people have in their village with how well kept and decorated everything is. This door has always been lovely when we go and this time was no exception with Easter decorations up....
As a side-note we were very close to the Röstigraben with the signs (and people speaking) in German in this village and 5 km down-lake the language was French...
This doorway is so pretty. Are the twigs always there like a living vine? Or is that part of the Easter decorations?
ReplyDeleteHmmm - next time we are there, I'll look at the vine. If you come visit, this is one place I want to take you and Tom!
