No Straight walls.

Bellizona's Castlegrande in Ticino (southern Switzerland) we learned, is a great place to have a picnic, people watch, and take pictures from.  This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the site of many battles over the years.  After a good whooping by the Milanese in 1478 near this castle, you could say it stopped Swiss plans for Manifest Destiny.  It was built upon a rocky outcrop, which required the walls to zig and zag with the topography.
