Ski Tunnel

When a railroad between Toblach and Cortina in the Dolomites (Italy) was abandoned, it was converted to a bike trail, using the tressels and tunnels that the train used. Eventually, someone figured out if you pushed snow into the 200 m tunnel it wouldn't melt and you can used it as a ski trail. With 350 meters of climbing and peaks soaring 1500 meters above the valley floor it was a very neat experience to ski between the two towns using the tunnel.
