Yum Berliner


The Berliner is like a jelly filled doughnut from Dunkin Donuts, but so much better! This stand had several different flavors to put in the middle, including a vanilla cream, which Ruth went for. While Ruth prefers eating these, Darrell prefers to watch the machine the squirts the filling in the center. Basel Christmas Market, Dec 23, 2010.


From another Christmas Market in Einsiedeln, CH, we saw the making of another kind of Berliner, the Berlinerbänzli. Darrell talked about these dough boys in his "Invasion" post on Dec 17, 2010 (although those dough boys weren't special enough to be called Berliners - no jelly inside of those...)
