Fiona and Ruth, half way down the sled run with "apero-ers" in the background |
On our last day in Rosswald, we chose to go sledding. Sledding you say? Well we should use the Swiss word, Schnitten because this is not your normal 30-second on sled run most Americans are used to. This was a 7 km (4 mile) long, 500m drop in elevation, groomed run with a gondola lift to return you to the top. It took 45 minutes to complete. Fiona loved chasing after us and got quite a workout.
This trip was special because some skiers (also using the trail) were enjoying an apero (snack of wine, cheese and bread) on the trailside. They invited us to join them. Prost! und Danke Vielmal!
