At just about every Christmas Market there is a candle making operation. Check out this heating device in the center of the picture. It has wide flanges to collect dripping wax. It is deep for tall candles. It heats and holds two colors of wax and it breaks apart so you can remove the wax once it hardens. Tons of kids, lots of colors, what a fun tradition it is (some of our Swiss friends have said they would make these as children and give them as gifts for their family...). While we were watching the candle-making, I noticed most of the girls being careful and precise, while the boys mixed colors and dripped wax onto their hands. Nothing changes.
